No, it's not. Throughout practically all of history, humans have walked barefoot on the Earth. They have sat and slept on conductive animal skins, and fashioned those skins into footwear. Living like this enabled our predecessors to absorb the Earth’s natural energy into their bodies at all times.

Over time, as we've "advanced" as a society, we've disconnected ourselves more and more from touching the Earth. Today, everyone is chronically disconnected from ground and as a society, we largely live our lives indoors. At Grounded+®, we're committed to spreading the message that we all need to reconnect. We encourage everyone to get outside and put their bare feet on the ground whenever possible. Our ancestors walked barefoot on the earth, wrapped their feet in conductive leather, and slept on animal hides on the ground. Such practices were part of the ordinary way of life throughout history. Our ancestors were always grounded. This is the ideal, but no longer how we all live.

We rarely go outside barefoot save for when we are at the beach. We wear insulated shoes and we sleep on elevated beds inside our insulated houses.

Your body is a good conductor of free electrons. We have seen that when people are grounded in experiments with Grounded+® products placed on the bottom of their feet (simulating standing barefoot on the Earth), they sometimes feel a tingling sensation moving up the legs. We associate this with the movement of electrons from the Earth up into the body. People say they often feel the same sensation when walking barefoot along the wet sand at the beach.

Yes! Coming into contact with any grounded surface, including another grounded person (or pet!), will ground you as well.

No, Grounded+® products are designed to give you the same amount of electron transfer as you would receive if you were barefoot on the earth.

No, Grounded+® products only utilize the ground port of your outlet and do not use electricity.

Once the product is plugged into a socket via the cord provided, the product instantly becomes grounded to the Earth. The Earthing product simply acts as an extension cord, bringing the Earth's energy inside and allowing you to stay grounded while you sleep, work or do something else — the equivalent of being barefoot outside.

Voltage:  Grounded+® products do not operate on electricity, so it does not matter what the electrical current is in your country (whether 110 volts or 240 volts, etc). All Grounded+® product connection cords do contain a current limiting 100k ohm resistor. providing protection against any potential errant voltage.

A regular plug socket found in the U.S. has three holes; two vertical slots and a round hole which is grounded to the Earth anddoes not carry electricity.

Our products come with aspecialized cord, which features one end in the form of a round prong that is inserted into the designated grounding hole, while the other end connects to the Earthing product itself via special snap connection.

For use outside the US, you may need to use an adapter specific to your country or an Grounded+® ground rod.

No, there is no need to unplug your products when they are not in use, as they do not use electricity or undergo any wear when plugged in.

It’s possible that some of the houses are not properly grounded or doesn’t have the 3rd plug.

The solution for that is to use the Grounding Rod which is placed directly in the Earth and the other end connects to your Earthing sheet. You can run the cord through a window or under a door and literally into the ground outside.Grounding rods can be used with Earthing sheets and as an alternative to connecting through your power outlets. It’s also a great way to make proper Earthing available for when you’re traveling, camping etc.

Yes, you can safely use Our Earthing Sheets，Earthing Mats（All products
）with an extension cord, power board or standard double adapterprovided that they are Earthed. Just ensure that your extension lead or powerboard has a third pin for Earthing. We’ve found that cheaply built powerboards may conduct electricity but don’t transfer Earth! The best way to verify that Earth is coming through is with a simple multimeter test just to be sure.

Helpful Tips:

• SHEETS: We recommend using cotton, bamboo, or a poly-cotton blend. Fully synthetic materials will most likely not ground you at all and we do not recommend using them over your Earthing products.
• PAJAMAS: If you choose to place your Earthing product under your fitted sheet, we recommend keeping pajamas minimal, comparable to boxer shorts and a t-shirt. If you do wear long pajamas, we recommend placing your mat on top of your fitted sheet for best results.
• SOCKS: Your feet are one of the most readily conductive areas of your body, so sleeping without socks is always best!

Yes, you can wear pajamas while sleeping on an earthing sheet. While direct skin contact is optimal for earthing benefits,it is not necessary to sleep naked on the sheet.As long as there are body parts that have direct contact with the sheet, such as arms, legs, or feet, you can wear comfortable pajamas or sleepwear.

That said, it's important to use your electric blanket on the lowest setting possible to minimize your exposure to these fields.
